How to Make Earrings.💎

I love making earrings, and I hope that after you make your first pair, you will love the process and result as much as I do!  I made my own way to put them together, and I have been perfecting and making it easier some.  So go get the supplies from a Hobby Lobby or other local craft store and let’s get crafting!❤

Supplies:

  • Jewelry wire (or eye pins)
  • Beads
  • Earring hooks (find some here)
  • Pliers (I got mine in a kit from Michael’s, and it’s nice because they can cut wire)

Step 1:  Cut your wire.  I cut mine a little bit longer than my finger.  If you are putting more than one bead on, you will need it to be longer.  Just to be sure you have cut enough, I would suggest cutting the wire it a little bit longer than you think you’ll need.  That way, you don’t have to redo the whole thing and waste wire.  You can also get pre-made eye pins.

Step 2: Put the wire halfway through the little circle in the earring hook and bend it so that it is doubled over.

Step 3: Slip the bead on and cut the two ends sticking out at of the bead so that the ends are even and only about half-an-inch.

Step 4: Pinch the wire with the pliers and twist the ends into a circle and continue to twist until it is close to the bead.  Turn the circle of wire towards the bead so that it faces it.  Then push it onto the bead, so it stays out of sight.

Step 5: Repeat the steps to complete the pair of earrings.

And then you are finished!  What do you think?  Do you have another way you make earrings?  Is this your first time making them?  I would love to hear how you earrings turned out!  Let me know of any questions you have!
