I’m back and it’s time for a new series!
Often, Christians use phrases that we and others don’t fully understand. I think it’s time to start changing that. I put up an Instagram story asking what phrases you think are most commonly misunderstood, and a couple of you mentioned “being saved.”
Today, I take a dive into what the gospel really is, what “being saved” means Biblically, and how those things affect our lives.
Today’s Phrase
Christians will often say “They’re saved!” or “I was saved when I was x years old.” What do we mean by that? Are people using that correctly or should we just abandon the phrase altogether? How does that phrase affect our daily lives? Let’s tackle those questions together!
Today’s episode is both for Christians and non-Christians – I can’t wait to hear your thoughts:)
Enjoy!

I feel bad that I just now am listening to this, but I am so thankful that I did. As a family, we have been going through a video series talking about how being true followers of Christ is not just a one-and-done thing, but a choice that we have to make every day in our hearts. I think the marriage story was the perfect demo of this. As always, I really appreciate the time you take out of your busy schedule to do these podcasts. They have been a huge encouragement to me!
Hope you have a wonderful holiday!

Well, I don’t know what to say (I could say a lot of things, haha), but I’ve finally spared some minutes and listened to this. Thank you for being precise and clear in your representation of what the gospel of Jesus Christ really is. I think this is my best podcast you’ve ever done; not to say others are bad, but this is tremendously precious.
There’s something precious & humbling when we pause and ponder what Christ accomplished in the cross of Calvary for us to the glory of God alone. Thank you for reminding me to always look to Christ and continue believing in Christ!
Looking forward to more future episodes, Rachel. Blessings!
