Clothing Haul + Outfit Inspo

Summer is the perfect time to shop, amiright? I especially love all the yard sales that happen this time of year. This is also a great time to find cute outfits for the upcoming school year.

I’ve done some shopping over the last few months, and I’ve found some really cute pieces/outfits that I would love to share with you all. Minus some of the jeans I already had and a dress I was given, I bought almost all of the following clothes for $5 and under, which is totally crazy. So if you’re a girl on a budget like me, don’t underestimate those thrift stores, clearance sections, and yard sales! It might take a bit more time to dig through the deals, but you could find some real winners!

  1. These are all beautiful! I ADORE your ‘no boundaries’ jeans (#denimgirlALLtheway!) Why is it that we drool over the dramatically washed, super-comfy, extra brass buttoned, highwaisted beauteous jeans? 🤣 And your dresses look amazing on you, especially the yellow one! I never seem to get dresses in patterns these days, but maybe I should give them a chance! XD

  2. Aww these outfits look so cute!! I think my favorite is #4 but all of them are amazing. I did have a kind of unrelated question: do you have any tips for photographing yourself? Because all these pictures were fantastic 😍

    1. Thank you so much! 😊😊 Aww thanks! A little behind the scenes/funny story: this was quite the interesting photoshoot because the only good background I could find was right on my front porch. I live in a pretty busy, full neighborhood, so I while I was taking these photos people were walking by and my mom was gardening in the yard – it got awkward at times. 😂 But anyway, I put my camera on a count-down setting and a continuous shoot mode. Basically, it would give me ten seconds to get ready and then take 3 photos in a row. This helped if I wanted to get a natural laughing/motion photo bc it took multiple photos. If you have any way to have your camera take multiple photos at once, that makes the process easier. A good tripod and a cloudy day also help a lot. After I was done, I used Canva to edit the photos a bit. For posing, I would recommend moving around a bit to make yourself relaxed and get more natural positions. I hope that helps!! 😊

  3. These outfits are SO CUTE!! Outfit #3 is my top fav– but don’t get me started about flannel shirts as jackets! I have trouble finding them in colors that will match with what I already have, but I love the one you wore in outfit #6. I also liked your great choices of accessories and hairstyles, and how it complimented each outfit instead of overwhelming it. Great job!
