Life Update + Fall Faves

Hello, readers!

It’s been a while since I did a casual post, and since I’m in my pajamas and slippers right now, it seems like the perfect time to write one. 🙂

I’ve been busy with lots of school (like every other highschooler out there 😋), but I’ve also done some fun things within the last month. I also have some really great gifts/resources/items I’m enjoying right now that I’ll be sharing in the post. All that to say this isn’t a post just about me, but I’m also sharing some fun things for all of you to check out!

My Birthday!

I had my birthday recently, and it was a blast! We packed Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes and had ice cream/cake. Donuts for breakfast also make a day 1000% better. Everyone was so sweet and pitched in to make my birthday celebration so much fun:)

The dessert was so yummy. I’ll definitely be having it again!

Chocolate Delight

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 C. ground pecans
  • 1/2 C. (one stick) butter – melted
  • 1 C. flour
  • 16oz cream cheese
  • 3 C. cool whip
  • 2 C. confectioners sugar
  • 2 boxes instant chocolate pudding
  • 5 1/3 C. milk

Instructions

  1. Mix flour and butter. Then add pecans.
  2. Press in the bottom of a 13×9 pan.
  3. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 min. Let cool.
  4. Mix cream cheese, cool whip, and confectioners sugar with a hand mixer and spread half of the mixture over crust.
  5. Make the chocolate pudding, using 2 2/3 C. milk per package.
  6. Spread chocolate pudding over cream cheese filling.
  7. Spread remaining cool whip over the top.

Exercise

With the end of the cross country season, I’ve had to plan my exercise. Since it’s pretty chilly out, I don’t usually get the opportunity to run. So instead, I swim once a week and also do lots of YouTube workouts. I’ve been using a few different workout channels, but my favorite by far is Sydney Cummings’ Royal Change. She is so positive and inspiring, and I don’t have to worry about bad music on her channel.

Today I did this one of her workouts. It was definitely the hardest video workout I’ve ever done – this one made me sweat like crazy!

And if you have weights, this kickboxing workout is a lot of fun and is super intense!

Christmas Music

Is it just me, or does it seem like everyone is getting ready for Christmas early?! I just started listening to Christmas music, and it makes me so happy:)

This group uses absolutely no instruments. Hear the drums? Yeah, that’s a guy’s voice. 😮

Most nostalgic Christmas song for me by far.

Cozy Favorite

(maybe to add to your Christmas wishlist 😉)

Slippers from Jane & Bleecher

I’m wearing them right now, and I love them so much I thought I would add them to this blog post! Soooooo soft and comfy. Find them here.

Thank for hanging out with me in my slippers and pajamas:) Have a wonderful rest of your day!!

  1. Very interesting post! I really like your more “casual” posts! Those slippers are so cute! I’ll have to get some for Christmas. My all-time favorite Christmas song is the Carol of the Bells! I’m learning it on the piano right now.
