3 Cute and Easy Summer Hairstyles

Can you believe its JUNE?! Summer is here!!! *cheers* Well, I guess it’s technically been summer for a while now, but June seems really summery. Today I’m sharing 3 hairstyles with you for all the summer fun!

It’s difficult to find cute hairstyles that are quick and easy. I don’t want to spend hours in front of the mirror, but I also want to look good. Can you relate?

I found three hairstyles that are super cute and easy, and I’m sharing them with you in the form of a video!! Let me know which one is your favorite!

1. French Braids

Two braids are always fun and go well with any summer outfit! After some practice with french braiding, this hairstyle will be a breeze!

2. Space Buns

This hairstyle is perfect for hot summer days. I recently starting styling my hair like this more often, and I love the way it looks and feels!

Tip: try to avoid this hairstyle on humid days if your hair is frizzy like mine

3. Chignon (low bun)

This hairstyle is more elegant with the others, but it keeps the hair off the neck and out of the way. You can do it in less than a minute!

Note: please excuse some of the audio roughness, the cut-off ending, and my hesitation at some points. My editing software is extremely slow, so I can’t make small edits very easily. I did try my best though, and I hope you enjoy the video!! I love trying out new things and learning more:)❤

  5. These are all super cute!! I love the idea of a vlog! Unfortunately… my hair is thick heavy, and two feet long, so some really cute hairstyles I see I can’t do!! I only want it to grow a little longer before I can cut it short and donate it! I will definitely try the French braided pigtails!
    I’m doing a play with some friends of mine, and I was cast as a boy. Any hair suggestions that will not take up a lot of room under a hat or something?

    1. Thank you, Hadassah! I’ll have to make a post for girls with thick hair – you’re not the first one who said that these hairstyles don’t really work! So cool you’re going to be donating your hair!
      I would think for a boy character you would want to bundle your hair up as tightly as possible. I suggest looking up how to do a military-style bun. Military personnel have to pull all their hair into a really small bun, so that might be what you’re looking for. Thanks for your comment!❤

      2. The military bun is my new favorite hairstyle! I love it, and finally have a bun that I can do successfully! (My attempts at top-knots and chignons have been less than satisfactory!) Thank you so much!

  8. Those are all so pretty! ❤ My hair is extremely thick and so unfortunately it's pretty hard to put it up, so I usually just to have to wear it down. I do want to cut it sometime this summer though, just because of the heat!!

    1. Aw, thanks! My hair is curly but REALLY thin, so I put it up a lot😄 The French Braids and chignon should still work with keeping your hair down and off your neck:) Thanks for reading!
