A Few of my Faves and GIVEAWAY Announcement!

I. Love. Audiobooks.

(I also love giveaways, so stay tuned to the end for the giveaway results!)

While I still read, audiobooks are my favorite way to go through a book. I loved how simple yet encouraging You Can Trust God to Write Your Story was, so I didn’t really mind reading that one. Point being, I still love books, but audiobooks tend to be my go-to.

When I read, I can tell that I am learning in a different, deeper way and benefit greatly from it. Nevertheless, I enjoy audiobooks for their flexibility and practicality: I can clean, draw, or bake while I listen. I am currently using a free, online site called Hoopla to borrow free audiobooks. It is basically an online library. For those of you going out of town for Thanksgiving and, like me, do not have internet access on the road, Hoopla also provides the (legal!) option to download the content on their site.

The following books are all available as audiobooks on Hoopla. The first two definitely are on my list of favorite books, and I’m beginning to listen to the third!

Without further ado, let’s get to it!

1. Evidence Not Seen by Darlene Deibler Rose

This is such an amazing book. It is a dramatic memoir of a missionary woman highlighting her time in Japanese work camps during World War II. She recounts many struggles, many miracles, and – most of all – God’s unfailing, sufficient faithfulness.

2. Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus by Nabeel Qureshi

Nabeel Qureshi began as a devout Muslim and, after years of wrestling with the truth, became a Christian and followed Jesus Christ. This book deals with deep, important topics such as Jesus’ deity and the Bible’s accuracy all while keeping the story’s conflict taut. Nabeel tells the true story of his conversion and reveals his struggle with the truth. He thought Christianity was ridiculous but found the opposite to be true when he looked closer. Once you begin this book, you might never want to stop!

3. Emma by Jane Austen

Like I said before, this is not exactly a book recommendation, per se, since I am only just beginning to listen to this book. All the same, I would like to invite you to listen to it with me and to let me know how you like it! After reading the summary, I anticipate it’ll be a humorous and enjoyable story. Besides, it’s by Jane Austen!๐Ÿ˜Š

Do you like audiobooks or do you prefer to read? Have you read any of these books? If so, do they qualify for your “favorite books list”? Comment and let me know!

  1. I love audiobooks, especially Emma (I have already read… well, heard it!) and Jane Austen’s other novels! When I’m reading long novels with long sentences and old-fashioned language, I find it difficult to concentrate, so I love listening to them as an audiobook!
(Yes, I did scroll down to the bottom of the page in my excitement about the giveaway! ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜‚)
