Hi, everyone! I’m sorry I’ve been kind of quiet lately. The track season and school year are going to be done in one week, so I’ve been busy! I thought today I would repost a blog post from 2016 for this Easter week. I hope you enjoy it! If you ever have a question, comment, or other message for me, just email me at joyfulcreationsblog22@gmail.com or comment here on my blog! I would also appreciate your advice. I have a quick survey you can take here: https://joyfulcreationsblog.wordpress.com/2018/08/24/will-you-take-a-survey/ Happy Easter! -Rachel
This project is a great way to remember why we celebrate Easter/Good Friday. My friend showed me how to make this great piece of art. Let’s get started!
Gather:
- Paper
- A cross pattern
- A pencil
- Pastels
- Paints and paintbrushes
- A cup of water
Begin by lightly tracing the cross with your pencil.
And when you lift up the cross the outline of the cross will be on the paper.

Next comes the fun part.
Choose a pastel to start with and make one short line. Try to make the line thick enough to spread.

Then push the pastel out a few times, so that it looks almost like a small flame.

Do the next.

Do so all the way around the cross.
Time to paint!
Dip your paintbrush in your green paint and paint a hill behind the cross; then with the blue, paint the sky.

And you’re done!
Here are some other things you could do:
1.Paint the cross.
2.Keep the cross pattern on the page while you make the pastel marks.
3. Make another picture, and put it on a blank card.
He is Risen!
Happy Easter!
