How was everyone’s Valentine’s day? I hope you had a great time! Are you ready for fashion Friday?
We all have to dress up at some point in our lives, but it can be hard. Follow these four tips have a much better time when you are getting ready for something formal.
1. Lay it out before
Make sure you have everything ready to go beforehand. I like to think about my outfits for a while if I can, and I try to do this ahead of time so that I won’t be in a rush… or find that I don’t have shoes to go with my outfit! Laying everything out before an event is super helpful.
2. Less is more
When it comes to jewelry and hair accessories, don’t load up. So many times, a simple necklace is much better than tons of jewelry piled on. Believe me! Go with less and you’ll find that many times it looks even better 💙
3. Try to be comfortable
Formal dresses and shoes can be so uncomfortable! When you are wearing uncomfortable clothing, the event will not be as enjoyable as it could be. Keep this in mind while you’re picking out your dresses and outfits, and pay attention to comfort. (Hint: steer clear of super tall high heels! Those are very uncomfortable and aren’t the only option for shoes.) It is actually possible to dress formal and be comfortable!
4. Modify where needed
Many formal dresses have very low necklines. Thankfully, instead of ditching the dress, you can simply add a tank top or cami underneath. It works really well!
