Beep-beep-beep… It’s 5:30 and time to wake up! I roll over, wishing I could sleep for another 2 or 3 hours and wishing I had not decided to wake up at this time. I have made a goal to wake up earlier on the weekdays. But you’ve got to understand, I am naturally a late-sleeper, and this is pretty difficult for me! But I have good reasons for waking up early. Here are those reasons :
1. More school. Because I am in Challenge A, my school schedule is different. I have more difficult subjects and more school work to accomplish. I really want to be able to finish early, and since I am homeschooled, I have a special opportunity to start and finish school earlier in the day. Sometimes I go to bed a little bit late or I need some extra sleep and I will set my alarm closer to 6:00, but get ready for the day faster and start as soon as possible on those days.
2. I would rather have a long day. Waking up early makes my days so much longer!
3. I have more attention and energy to do school in the morning. When I wake up and dive into math every morning, I am alert, and I don’t have that horrible “lazy” feeling that gets in the way of being productive.
4. Time for blogging and exercise in the day! If I finish my school work early, I am able to go for a long bike ride, blog, and play with my siblings. It’s nice to have some free time in the day, and waking up early gives me time to do that!
I can’t wait to see how it turns out! Do you have any back-to-school commitments or goals? Are you an early bird, or are you like me and love your sleep? I would love to hear from you!
I love my sleep
